Pursuing Connections Counseling PLLC
You may look like you’re holding it all together on the outside. Showing up for others, staying productive, doing “what you’re supposed to do”. But inside, you might feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or deeply tired. Therapy is a place where you can stop performing and finally be seen, heard, and supported.
I work with adult individuals using Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), a research-supported, attachment-based model that helps you better understand your emotional patterns and build a deeper, more compassionate connection with yourself. I also integrate experiential and person-centered approaches to help you move through pain, clarify your needs, and live more aligned with who you truly are.
You may be used to people-pleasing, over-functioning, or masking how you really feel—but underneath, you might struggle with self-doubt or the belief that you’re not good enough. Therapy creates space to challenge those old stories and reconnect with your inherent worth.
Unresolved pain from childhood, family dynamics, or past relationships can quietly shape how you see yourself and respond to others. Together, we’ll explore those emotional injuries with care and curiosity, supporting your shift from coping to healing.
Your earliest emotional experiences affect how you relate to yourself, how you connect with others, and how safe it feels to be authentic. We’ll explore your attachment patterns and how they’ve shaped your identity so you can live more fully and freely.
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many of my clients are thoughtful, self-aware adults who are ready to deepen their emotional insight, process lingering patterns, and live with greater intention and connection.
When you’re always the strong one or the one everyone turns to, it’s easy to lose sight of your own needs. Therapy offers a chance to slow down, feel your feelings safely and reconnect with a sense of calm and clarity.
Depression doesn’t always look like sadness. It might feel like numbness, irritability, exhaustion, or just going through the motions. We’ll work to understand what’s beneath the heaviness and gently reconnect you with a sense of hope and vitality.
Whether you’re navigating a career change, a shift in identity, or a crisis of purpose, transitions can stir up anxiety and uncertainty. Therapy can help you feel more grounded, reflect on what matters, and move forward with intention.
If you’ve experienced emotional abuse, betrayal, or past trauma, I provide a safe and steady space to process what you’ve been through. We do this at your own pace and with deep respect for your story and strength.
Many people I work with feel pulled in every direction, constantly giving to others while putting themselves last. Therapy helps you reconnect with your own needs, set boundaries, and move from burnout toward balance and self-compassion.
